OUR MISSION
New to mushroom cultivation? Where should I start?
We suggest beginners start with our pre-inoculated substrate bags. Simply cut, spray, and harvest your first flush within two weeks.
How long until I can harvest my first flush of mushrooms?
Once your substrate is fully colonized, you can expect to go from the pinning stage to fruiting and harvest within two weeks.
What environment is best for growing mushrooms?
Mushrooms thrive in indirect light, high humidity, and temperatures between 60-75°F. While some varieties can tolerate changes in temperature or humidity, the ideal environment for most is cool, moist, and shaded.
Do mushrooms need to be watered like plants?
Mushrooms don’t need to be watered like traditional plants, but they do require high humidity. If you're not using a humidity-controlled environment, such as humidity dome, you should mist them 2-3 times a day. Use a fine mist spray until water droplets form on the surface, but avoid soaking them. Watch for signs of dryness, like wilting or curling edges, which may indicate they need more moisture or a more humid environment.
Where can I put my mushroom grow kits?
Because mushrooms thrive in indirect light, high humidity, and average room temperatures, they can be placed in most living spaces. However, they should be kept away from windowsills and areas of significant temperature fluctuation.

Do my gourmet mushrooms need to be cooked?
Yes! It's best practice to prepare your gourmet mushrooms over high heat until fully cooked. Some species of mushrooms do not require cooking to consume, but we do not have any in the culture bank at the moment.
